Looking for an amazing gift to give a first time mom?
The holidays are upon us, and if you’re wondering what to get your pregnant wife, partner, daughter, friend, (or self), you’re in the right place! From practical presents to luxury ones, there is something here for everyone.
Pregnancy is a time of great change for an expectant mother. From the moment they find out they are pregnant, and throughout the months that follow, moms-to-be have to endure physical changes as well as all the other stressors that come with growing and raising a tiny person.
It’s an understatement to say that they deserve to be spoiled!
As a new mom myself, I’ve compiled my all-time favorite Amazon purchases that would make phenomenal presents for a new mom.
I personally use and love all of these products.
Whether you’re looking for a Christmas gift, a birthday gift, or just a little something to say “thinking of you,” check out these genuinely awesome pregnancy gifts for first-time moms.

For the new mom with back pain
This massage pillow is the best thing ever. I use mine constantly. It was especially handy when my neck and shoulders were aching from holding my new baby.
For the new mom who needs a break from chores
This robot vacuum is phenomenal and is reasonably priced. Every single mom needs one of these. (Who has time to vacuum or sweep daily?!) I run mine multiple times a day and I’m always blown away by how much dust and fur it picks up.
I’m not the only one who loves it, it’s been rated #1 by tons of companies that review consumer products. Plus check out the 14,000+ Amazon reviews!
For the new mom who doesn’t have time for the salon
This blow-dry brush is one of my favorite purchases of all time.
Call me an elitist, but I wasn’t expecting much from Revlon, particularly given the price point. Boy was I wrong!
I’m terrible at blow drying my own hair… but using this tool, I can legit look like I stepped out of a salon within about 10 minutes. It’s the perfect gift for a new mom who doesn’t have a lot of time to make herself look put together.
For the new mom who’s a homebody
Let’s face it, we’re all kind of homebodies as new moms, especially when our babies are little! Every mom needs a pair of cozy slippers to wear around the house. I recommend getting a pair with solid rubbery tread.
I’ve got two great options for you. Ugg slippers are the obvious classic for a reason. They’re cozy, sturdy, and have a long lifespan. Certain styles are also really reasonably priced on Amazon (check out the above link).
A second great option is this much cheaper vegan version. I love mine and wear them every day!
For the sleep-deprived new mom (aren’t we all?)
It’s basically impossible to ignore the sound of your crying baby. As a new mom, the only way I’m able to relax and get some decent shut-eye is to turn on white noise.
This sound machine is the best one I’ve ever owned and here’s why:
(1) You can turn it up insanely loud. MUCH louder than the cheap one we have in another room.
(2) You can choose from a spectrum of white, pink, or brown noise. This matters because you can adjust it to mask whatever sound is keeping you from sleeping.
Bonus gift… get this super cheap (but high quality) silk eye mask.
For the new mom who loves to cook (but doesn’t have time)
This is the best kitchen gadget I own. I would have paid 3x the price, that’s how much I love it.
You can literally chop or dice an entire onion in 5 seconds flat with this thing. It works for herbs, tomatoes, and garlic too.
For the new mom whose baby grabs her hair
These locking earring backs! Once I discovered these I wondered how I had gone my whole life without them. I’ve lost too many earrings to count.
These are SO good that you can feel comfortable wearing expensive earrings to the beach, I’m not kidding. They’re particularly useful now that I have a baby who’s always grabbing at my face and hair! They fit on all earrings and even work with screw-back posts.
For the new mom who’s always multitasking
I’m late to the party, but I just discovered that AirPods are the best. I didn’t understand why they’d be any better than regular wired headphones, but they ARE.
It’s so nice to leave your phone on the counter and listen to music while you load the dishwasher… or stick your phone in the stroller while you catch up with family during a walk.
They’re also necessary if you want to talk on the phone while you’re using this next product…
For the new mom who’s always on the go
Not to mention, a lot of new moms are like me and need a fully charged phone to take a zillion pictures of their babies all day long. I have this mini one and another ultra high capacity battery. You can’t go wrong with any of the power banks from Anker.
For the new mom who loves trying skincare products
Pregnancy hormones are known to wreak havoc on a woman’s skin. A gift basket of beauty products that help bring out mom-to-be’s natural glow would make a GREAT.
These are my favorite skincare products you can get on Amazon:
- Blackhead Remover Mask: I’m obsessed with this stuff. It’s basically sticky black tar that you paint on your face. You let it dry, and then peel off the entire thing in one sheet. With it comes dead skin and small hairs. VERY SATISFYING. Here’s a customer image if you’re not squeamish.
- Charcoal lemonade facial scrub: This is a yummy-smelling exfoliating scrub from a cruelty-free brand that I love.
- Deep pore cleansing mask: I always use this the day after doing the charcoal peel. I recommend mixing it with apple cider vinegar for best results. I’m not the only one loving this product… it has over 57,000 reviews!
- Moisturizing recovery mask for extra dry skin: There’s no better intensive moisturizer on the planet. This stuff is liquid gold. It’s really thick. You layer it on and let it absorb.
Final thoughts on gifts for pregnant moms-to-be
Hopefully you’ve found a winner or two on this roundup of the best pregnancy gifts for first time moms. You really can’t go wrong with anything on this list; every single one of these products, whether practical or luxury, earns a 10 out of 10 in my book.
